Ashley was born and raised in and around Chicago, IL. Although she spent most of her free time playing sports, music has always had a strong presence in her life. At age 3 she memorized her first choreography through watching music videos with her oldest sister. Growing up she played the alto saxophone and flute. She is currently learning piano and aspires to someday learn to play the guitar. She spent 4 years in her high school choir and 2 years on their dance team. She loves to choreograph and feels a great sense of fulfillment in teaching others. Ashley is the youngest of 4 children and has a wide variety of interests including the study of language. She speaks nearly fluent Spanish and is currently undertaking French. Her study of foreign language intertwines with her goal to see as much of the world as she possibly can. Her passion for animals led her to pursue Veterinary Medicine but her natural pull toward the fine arts brought her to Fred Astaire. She loves her new career path and aspires to compete professionally and eventually open her own studio. “Thinking is the worst thing a dancer can possibly do, you have to feel.”-Michael Jackson |
