A native to the Chicago area, Jake grew up highly involved in the musical arts.  Most of his early adult life has been spent touring the country playing music ranging from slow jazz to metal.  He joined Fred Astaire in 2006, as a student.  Shortly thereafter he left the touring life and worked his way to being an instructor and has been teaching ever since. 

Jake joined the Fred Astaire Burr Ridge studio in early 2009.  He prides himself on being able to deliver a complicated technique simply and with clarity.  A constant student, he is always honing his dancing and teaching skills.  He enjoys teaching all students, from beginners to competitors.
