Being part of the opening team at Burr Ridge and the staff dance trainer, teaching is not just a job to Vance: it's a lifelong pursuit of fulfillment.  He believes that "You teach best that which you love and continue to learn yourself."  He has taught in many fields: mathematics, engineering, business, and martial arts - and now uses his eclectic background and passion for teaching to relate to anyone easily.

 Vance shares his enthusiasm through teaching, performance and professional competition with his wife, Kimi, as one of the few nine-dance couples who compete in both Smooth and Rhythm styles.  A top teacher in the Fred Astaire organization for several years, he loves to see new people fall in love with dancing and rise to become Pro-Am competitors on the regional and national levels.
